Artpolis staff today was on the journey of the Autostrada Biennale “What If a Journey…”, to create unforgettable memories through artworks that have taken place in Prishtina.
The installation “Forget me not” by Petrit Halilaj and Alvaro Urbano had enchanted the hall of the National Library, bringing to the public the pieces of love that pity the intimacy, identity and connections of those who are oppressed by regressive social norms.
Guided Vlora Hajdini – Hajrullahu the journey continued with “Sunflower Fields” by Agnes Denes, an iconic feminist artist of Hungarian descent, who lives and works in New York. In her 1969 Manifesto declared that she wanted to leave the ivory tower of her studio and enter the world of the global concerns, “communicating the incommunicatible,” “visualizing the invisible,” “not accepting the limitations society has accepted,” and “persisting in eternal search”.
The “Sunflower Fields” presented in the plato of the Youth Palace comes as a call for care and love of nature.”What If a Journey …”, curated by Övül Ö. Durmuşoğlu and Joanna Warsza continues to be open also in Prizren and Peja.
