July 3-6, 2021
On July 3, 2021, the empowerment of the 20 Theater Clubs of the champion schools began. For four days in a row, 10 professional actors and 20 students from champion schools came together at the Artistic Camp in Ethno Complex in Kukaj, to successfully carry out numerous activities regarding theater.
During this time full of activities, the students and actors of the Resident Troupe of the Artpolis exchanged experiences and interacted to achieve professional, emotional and human development.
Students had the opportunity to learn more about theater from the Artpolis Art Troupe, through the development of critical thinking, rehearsals, presentation of the forum-theater performances, acting, singing, dancing, and writing. Whereas discussions, meditations, and physical exercises fulfilled them emotionally and spiritually.
The fun and socializing continued in the evening hours as well, in which case the students made new friends, but also developed various games and discussions in the beautiful spaces and amphitheaters of the Ethno Complex in Kukaj.
“Today I was much happier and much more open than on the first day. This training will always be present in my mind”, said one of the students in the evaluation letter for the training and the trainers.
The trainers also said that they have gained a new experience, and they are satisfied with the work and cooperation of the students.
“I gained a lot from the students, especially in the exercise we did, ‘Cross the Line’, in which we would ask questions and the children would answer. No one is the same, everyone has a different personality and character and we have learned that it does not make us prejudiced and we should try to understand why he/she is behaving like this”, said Kaltrinë Zeneli, actress/trainer, who added that students are very talented and will help their theater clubs exceptionally when they return to the respective schools.
From July 3-6, Artpolis has prepared various traditional meals, served in the morning, lunch and dinner, for all participants.
At the end of the training, the students were certified for the successful attendance of the training and promised to engage in their schools’ Theater Clubs in their schools with the knowledge they have acquired during this Art Camp.
“This project is organized by Artpolis – Art and Community Center, with the support of GIZ Kosovo on behalf of the German Government”
