Through personal and fictitious narratives, actresses Anisa Ismaili and Fitore Broqi performed “Give Color to Life” on Thursday night as a call for social emancipation and women’s empowerment.
Presented on September 28, 2023 at the Oda Theatre, “Give Color to Life” focused on women, their challenges and the confrontation with the prejudices and norms of the patriarchal system.
Women’s dreams, desires, and courage were creatively expressed in this performance with traditional minimalist elements. The different narratives of Anisa and Fitore were enriched with video projections created by Mersime Ademi, as a narration of the traumas and wounds caused by the patriarchy.
“Give Color to Life” was watched by about 50 people in the audience, who had the opportunity to share their impressions with the actresses after the performance.
This performance was supported by the Artpolis Feminist Art Fund, which is supported by the program of the Kosovo Foundation for Civil Society (KCSF) ‘EJA Kosovo’, co-financed by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Sweden and the Government of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
