Engagement and activism in the community takes a different form when we simultaneously turn the focus to our well-being and individual needs. During November 4-7, 2022, 15 girls and women from different regions, communities, categories, and age groups from Kosovo, Serbia, Albania, Montenegro, and Bosnia and Herzegovina participated in the workshop “Personalized activism for reflection and prosperity among Balkan women”.
Through this workshop, the participating women and girls tried to create a stable foundation by reflecting on their unfulfilled needs and repressed feelings over the years. Beyond work and continued contribution to society, turning the focus toward them sent them to a more humane, empathetic, and multidimensional approach to themselves.
This workshop brought together women and girls who gave meaning to the common space by conveying to each other the feeling of security, peace, and love. The facilitators of this training were activists and feminists Zana Hoxha, Yllka Soba, and Shqipe Malushi.
This activity is organized in the framework of “Youth 4 Inclusion, Equality & Trust”, supported by UNFPA and implemented by Artpolis.
