Last night, the Gjilan City Theater was transformed into a space of empowerment and solidarity for gender equality. “Fefu and Shoqet e saj” returned to highlight the voices and experiences of women in the face of patriarchy, through an emotional and powerful narrative about their role in society and the need for freedom and equality.

This play addresses society’s expectations of women, the injustices that come from power, and the challenges women face in their efforts to find voice and identity in an unequal world. Written by Julia Aaron and Maria Irene Fornes, “Fefu and Shoqet e saj” offers us an important insight into patriarchal oppression and the power of liberation through feminism, prompting reflection on the norms and structures that hinder gender equality.

This show gave the public in Gjilan a deep artistic experience, encouraging them to reflect on social diversity.
