Art Feminist – Stage Reading “Redlight on Sunday” by Butrint Pasha

June 28, 2023

This play was performed by actors Adrian Morina and Zana Berisha, who portrayed the characters of Professor Mudit and Lina, a student in her final year. The story takes place at a university, highlighting sexual harassment as a growing negative phenomenon.

This one-act play features sensitive dialogue where the characters navigate the pursuit of their goals—one path leads to rape as a consequence, while the other brings another harasser to justice. Filled with sharp, cynical, and provocative dialogue shaped by Professor Mudit’s circumstances, the play kept the audience on edge, contemplating the worst-case scenario for this twenty-two-year-old student.

The gathered audience left satisfied with the thematic depth of the text, which opened the way for constructive debate on the phenomenon, its prevention, and the need to address such topics more frequently. The ultimate goal is to foster a Kosovar society that rejects these behaviors and provides a safe environment for living, working, and studying.

This activity was supported by the Art Feminist Fund of Artpolis, which is backed by the Kosovo Civil Society Foundation (KCSF) program “EJA Kosovo,” co-financed by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Sweden, and the Government of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
