Festival of Artists and Activists

25-30 May 2017, Pristina, Kosovo

The FEMART Festival is the first and only feminist festival in Kosovo, also the largest in the Balkan region that for four consecutive years has joined artists and activists from all over the world in the capital of Kosovo.

Even this year, Artpolis – the Art and Community Organization, organizes for the 5th time the FEMART Festival of Human Rights Artists starting from 25 to 30 May 2017 (6 days) in the city of Prishtina.

FEMART annually engages over hundreds of artists and activists from all over the world who exhibit their creative work through: Theater, Film, Documentary Film, Short Film, Scenic Reading, Visual Arts, Exhibitions, Performances, Concerts, Book Promotions, Lectures, Workshops, Discussion Boards, and Different Art Form Presentations.

The festival is a platform for starting and presenting ideas and creations that bring forward feminist concepts and their developments in Kosovo by engaging in women’s equal rights and a bridge for peace-building in the region. The program will be selected by a group of artists and activists who have experience in various fields of art and human rights.
