During the 16 days of activism against violence against women and girls. Art and Communityr Center – Artpolis organized the youth performance “Hopes and Dreams”, in Cultural Center “Tahir Sinani”, on December 6^th, 2019, supported by UNFPA and in cooperation with Directorate of Culture of Lipjan Municipality.

Mrs. Ulrike Richardson, Development Coordinator in Kosovo from UN office in Prishtina, who was part of the audience, opened the performance with a message: “Girls should have equal possibilities and rights to follow their dreams, just like boys. They many times are deprived from these rights. During of November 25^th to  December 10^th, the whole world including Kosovo, is having campaign to end violence against girls and women. It is a terrible crime and according to statistics, 1 out of every 3 women is subject of the violence against her. Some of this comes from a society where we don’t have equal rights.”
