ARTPOLIS is a non-governmental organization operating in Kosovo and promotes multiethnic culture, art and coexistence through social dialogue and the application of theater as a means to promote social and cultural development. Founded in 2004, its main mission is to influence the development of a society that respects the cultural values of art, the culture itself, and social diversity. The use of art and culture as a tool to achieve its objectives makes ARTPOLIS as an organization more special, closer to the citizens and easier to understand.
ARTPOLIS has a clear identity and profile in the spectrum of civil society as an organization which through its work systematically addresses human rights issues, such as gender equality, women’s empowerment and feminism as social values and rights of humans.
Being a comprehensive organization of people with good will, who are interested in contributing to the promotion of human rights and the achievement of gender equality, in the improvement of culture and the society in Kosovo, ARTPOLIS provides the possibility of membership for all individuals who share the values and vision that the organization promotes.
Gender equality, universal protection of human rights at both the individual and group / collective level are some of the core values that membership applicants must have.
ARTPOLIS sees strength in diversity and welcomes new members of all backgrounds and beliefs, but the value and respect for every human being must be endorsed by each applicant before he / she can be considered for membership.
Your membership in ARTPOLIS, undoubtedly carries in itself its rights and responsibilities, as follows:
In order to become a member, you must voluntarily apply for membership through the channels provided / advertised by ARTPOLIS (either the physical copy at the organization’s office, or the online form available on the ARTPOLIS website, or social networks). Depending on the way you choose to apply for membership in ARTPOLIS (either the physical copy at the organization’s office, or the online form available on the ARTPOLIS website, or its social networks), you should keep in mind that in addition to the completed form you must to attach the mandatory documents (original or scanned depending on which channel is used for membership application), which include:
The Membership Review Commission, appointed by the ARTPOLIS Assembly at its annual meeting, reviews all membership applications within one month of receiving the applications. All potentially qualified members who successfully complete the application process and meet the membership criteria become members, after review / positive decision of the Membership Review Committee. The composition of the Committee shall be changed at each annual meeting of the General Assembly. The Commission will report to the Assembly on the changes of the membership in the preceding period.
The term of membership in ARTPOLIS is two years. The membership reapplication must be completed within three months of the expiration of the last membership. For paying members, proof of payment of the optional annual membership fee is also required within three months of expiration.
