The “Okarina” Women’s Choir on Saturday night, October 29, 2022, brought the artistic performance “You are someone’s reason to smile”, at the Palace of Youth in Pristina.

Choral singing, poetry readings, piano performance, trumpet, and cello performances were dedicated to women and girls affected by breast cancer, as well as to their families and relatives.
The positive energy of the choristers, who have a passion for music, fulfilled the evening with a variety of songs, which, in addition to empowerment, also had the purpose of promoting the artistic values of the songs that have been inherited by various Kosovar artists.

In addition to the “Okarina” Choir led by the solo singer, Elikona Hysaj-Shala, the women’s choir from Peja “Canta Peja” also performed. The artists Meli Qena, Rina Kaçinari, Eriona Krasniqi, Eleonida Elezi, Dea Bajrami, and Mjellma Ibrahimi enriched this night with their interpretations.

This activity was organized within the Fund for Feminist Art of Artpolis, supported by the program of the Kosovo Foundation for Civil Society (KCSF) ‘EJA Kosovo’, co-financed by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Sweden, and the Government of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
