Youngsters from Kosovo, were part of a three-day training “Theater Based Education with Peers” held in Prizren during 20 – 22 September, 2019, organized by Art and Community Center – Artpolis within the Kosovo Coalition for Reconciliation – KCR, supported by the European Union in Kosovo.
This training was developed under the mentorship of the trainers Zana Hoxha and Branislav Stanković. This time around, participants were 16 young people from different communities living in Kosovo – Albanian, Serbian and Ashkali. The training developed with a focus on theater knowledge, theatrical techniques, improvisation, creating short scenes, breathing exercises, tracking rhythm, improving concentration, analysis, etc.
The topics covered were: sexual harassment, bullying, narcotics, ethnic diversity, prejudices, unemployment, gender equality and education. The energy and commitment of the trainers was reflected to the participants while together they created a pleasant atmosphere of work and activism.
Beside the knowledge about theater and acting, young people had the opportunity to create friendships, to exchange their experiences, to learn and speak each other’s language, while together actively engaging and showing their talent and creativity during these three days of the training.
This project was highly appreciated by the participants while emphasize once again that art, and in this case, theatre is a tool that unites cultures and eliminates interethnic, gender and religious differences.
“It was wonderful. My expectations are all fulfilled. I learned new things in acting. But, most of all I will remember the wonderful company of my peers. ”- among other things said the participant from North Mitrovica Marija Vukićevič.
“This training was encouraging to later continue working with acting as a profession. These games in practice and theory we gained from the trainers were motivating. I felt free” – said another participant, Valëza Sijarina from Gjilan.

Vršnjačko pozorišno obrazovanje
Mladi sa Kosova bili su deo trodnevne obuke “Vršnjačko pozorišno obrazovanje”, održane u Prizrenu u periodu od 20 do 22. Septembra 2019 godine, organizovane od strane Centra za Umetnost i Zajedništvo – Artpolis, a u okviru Koalicije za Pomirenje na Kosovu (KPK), projekat je podržan od strane Evropske Unije na Kosovu.
Ova obuka je razvijena pod mentorstvom trenera Zane Hodže i Branislava Stankovića. Ovog puta učesnici su bili 16 mladih ljudi iz različitih zajednica koje žive na Kosovu – Albanaca, Srba i Aškalija. Obuka je bila fokusirana na pozorišno znanje, pozorišne tehnike, improvizaciju, kreiranje kratkih scena, vežbi disanja, praćenja ritma, poboljšanja koncentracije, analize, itd.
Teme koje su obuhvaćene bile su: seksualno uznemiravanje, zlostavljanje, narkotici, etnička raznolikost,
predrasude, nezaposlenost, rodna ravnopravnost i obrazovanje. Energija i posvećenost trenera odrazili su se na učesnike dok su zajedno stvarali prijatnu atmosferu rada i aktivizma.
Pored znanja o pozorištu i glumi, mladi su imali priliku da stvore nova prijateljstva, razmene iskustva,
nauče i govore jezik jednih drugih, istovremeno aktivno se angažujući, pokazujući svoj talent i kreativnost tokom ovih tri dana obuke.
Učesnici su visoko ocenili ovaj projekat, još jednom naglašavajući da je umetnost, u ovom slučaju pozorište, sredstvo koje ujedinjuje kulture a eliminiše međuetničke, rodne i verske razlike.
“Bilo je predivno. Očekivanja su sva ispunjena. Naučila sam nove stvari što se tiče glume. Najviše ću pamtiti predivno druženje.” – između ostalog rekla je učesnica iz Severne Mitrovice, Marija Vukićević.
„Ova obuka je bila ohrabrujuća da kasnije nastavim da sa bavim glumom kao profesijom. Ove praktične igre i teorija koju smo naučili od trenera bile su motivišući. Osećala sam se slobodno “- rekla je druga učesnica, Aurora Morina iz Hasa.
