“Albanian Culture Days in Croatia” have continued with cultural and artistic activities on November 25 in the city of Zagreb.
After the premiere in Pula, the dance theater performance “Totem and Taboo”, directed and choreographed by Robert Nuha and dramaturgy by Zana Hoxha, was presented in the Croatian capital.
Organized and supported by the Albanian Union in the Republic of Croatia, “Totem and Taboo” was presented at the “Vidra” Theater, where the Artpolis Artistic Troupe was received with enthusiasm and warmth.
Through body movements the actors penetrate the audience in the form of images, letting them determine the imaginary journey they want to follow. And through the minimal text the abstraction becomes tangible, the events clear up and strike the public with taboo topics that still occupy a place in our society. The variety of themes, the masterful transition from stage to stage, and the beautiful acting of the actors imprint “Totem and Taboo” deep in the memory of the public.
After two successful presentations in Croatia, “Totem and Taboo” will come down again at the National Theater of Kosovo, on December 4 as part of the campaign “16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence”.
