We are proud to announce the publication of the UNMASC! E-book, a key outcome of the two-year transnational project UNMASC! – Promoting Gender Justice through Socially Engaged Theatre.
The E-book documents, analyses, and reflects on the UNMASC! project’s journey, artistic processes, methodologies, and impact. It brings together experiences from artists, activists, researchers, and partner organizations who collaborated across borders to challenge harmful gender norms and promote gender justice through theatre and socially engaged artistic practices.
As a comprehensive publication, the UNMASC! E-book serves several important purposes. It captures and preserves the outcomes of the project, creating a lasting record of its activities, creative processes, and results. In doing so, it contributes to the sustainability and legacy of the project, allowing its insights and experiences to inform future initiatives.
The E-book also functions as a valuable knowledge-sharing resource. It offers reflections, lessons learned, best practices, and challenges encountered during the implementation of a long-term international theatre project. This makes it particularly useful for theatre practitioners, cultural workers, educators, researchers, activists, and organizations interested in gender justice, socially engaged art, and transnational collaboration.
In addition, the publication supports visibility, advocacy, and future development. By showcasing the project’s achievements and innovative approaches, the E-book can be used for outreach, networking, and fundraising, helping to build interest among potential partners, funders, and stakeholders. It highlights the power of theatre as a tool for social change and reinforces the importance of continued investment in artistic practices that address gender inequality.
The UNMASC! E-book is freely available online through the project website and relevant platforms, ensuring broad accessibility beyond the project’s live events. It is also shared through partner networks, social media channels, and direct communication with stakeholders, extending its reach to diverse audiences across Europe and beyond.
