On October 6, 2023, Artpolis established the Theater Club in Klina, in close collaboration with local institutions such as the Directorate of Culture, the Directorate of Education, the House of Culture “Jehona e Dukagjini,” and the “Luigj Gurakuqi” Gymnasium, along with various civil society organizations in the city.
The Theater Club in Klina is led by Artpolis Ensemble actors Shpëtim Selmani, Qendresa Kajtazi, Labinot Raci, and Robert Nuha. They will be actively involved in the creative process for over two months, leading up to the presentation of a forum theater performance.
Throughout this creative journey, young men and women will have the opportunity to explore the world of stage art, character development, the art of directing, and the enchantment of acting. Most importantly, they will discover that theater is more than just a combination of words and movements; it is a mirror reflecting the human spirit and life’s complex dilemmas. Theater serves as a platform for thinking, feeling, and effecting change.
Following the play’s presentation, forum theater will encourage the audience to engage with the characters. Forum theater sparks discussions, aids in finding solutions to societal issues, and raises awareness. It serves as a reminder that the power for positive change lies within our grasp, no matter how small the action.
This initiative is organized by Artpolis and receives support from cfd, MKRS, the Joseph Handleman “I Believe in You” Foundation, and the Municipality of Klina.
