World Book Day, among the many activities marked on April 23rd, included the opening of a mini book fair featuring bookstores and publishing houses from Pristina. **”Dukagjini,” “Dit’e Nat,” “Buzuku,” “Titanik,” “Toena,”** and independent sellers participated in this mini book fair, held at **Nënë Tereza** Square, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The mini fair was very well attended, indicating that interest in books and reading remains high despite concerns that the internet is diminishing this habit.

The participants in the mini fair were also very pleased with the readers’ enthusiasm. According to them, the 20% discount on book purchases further sparked interest.

Sabahate Çavdërbasha from “Dukagjini” bookstore told KultPlus that the interest was very gratifying.

“We are at Nënë Tereza Square to celebrate World Book Day. I am very happy that this mini fair is being organized, and I am very satisfied with the turnout and the interest from people and readers. I see regular readers who come to Dukagjini bookstore and are present today because of the 20% discount, and the interest is gratifying,” said Çavdërbasha. She encouraged everyone interested in books to buy and read as much as possible.

Meanwhile, Azize Mehmeti from “Titanik” bookstore expressed satisfaction with the turnout and interest in books.

“It’s going very well, things have gone smoothly, and the interest is satisfactory. We primarily have books by foreign authors, mostly psychological topics, and the interest has been especially high among young people. The interest in reading books is satisfactory. My message is to read as many books as possible, especially psychological ones,” Mehmeti told KultPlus.
