In an atmosphere of interdisciplinary exchange and shared learning, the offices of Artpolis became a meeting point between academia, contemporary art, and feminist activism. The Artpolis team—Venera Ismaili, Elira Lluka, and Berat Bajrami—welcomed professors from the Democritus University of Thrace (Komotini, Greece), together with Prof. Vjollca Krasniqi from the University of Prishtina, within the framework of the ERASMUS+ Exchange program.

During the visit, the professors were introduced to Artpolis’ long-standing work, its artistic and social projects, and the feminist approach that underpins the organization’s philosophy and practice. Discussions focused on the intersection of art and feminist activism, the role of culture in driving social change, and the impact of the FemArt Festival as an international platform amplifying feminist, artistic, and activist voices.

Special attention was also given to the Theatre-Based Education program, presented as an educational and emancipatory methodology developed by Artpolis in collaboration with young people. This training was highlighted as an active form of youth engagement for social change, using theatre as a tool for critical reflection, self-expression, and civic empowerment.

The professors expressed strong interest in connecting art with social work and education, opening concrete discussions on future collaboration opportunities between Artpolis and academic institutions at both regional and international levels. The visit was seen as an important step toward building new bridges between theory and practice, the university and the community, and between art and feminist action.
