Last night, on April 27, 2026, the theater performance “Woyzeck,” directed by Zana Hoxha, a co-production of the City Theater of Gjakova “Hadi Shehu” and Artpolis, organized by KÂ, was warmly received in Vienna during its first international presentation.

“Woyzeck” was staged at the Akzent Theater in Vienna and was exceptionally well received by the audience, who followed the performance with great interest and rewarded it with long applause. Among those present were many Albanians from the diaspora, as well as Austrian audience members, making the evening even more special.

Based on the work of Georg Büchner, adapted by Jack Thorne, “Woyzeck” addresses themes of alienation, social violence, and the psychological breakdown of the individual, offering a powerful reflection on dehumanization and the realities of contemporary society.

This presentation in Vienna marks an important step in promoting Kosovar theater and art on the international stage.
