Three days of art, activism, and new friendships
November 28, 2023
On September 18, 2022, was held the first activity within the Fund for Feminist Art.
Art as therapy was used to emotionally and spiritually affect 10 participants in the “Art Therapy” workshop led by artist Mjellma Goranci, psychologist Kaltrina Ajeti, and trainer Visar Shehu.
They stayed together for several hours, sharing and experiencing special moments to get to know each other, and above all to get to know themselves.
Through painting and other relaxing games, the participants managed to express suppressed emotions over the years. This variety of activities combined with art gave them the strength to express their concerns, but also the will to stand in solidarity with each other, finding peace and the motivation to embrace reality.
This activity was concluded with the creation of paintings from the experiences of each of them.
The Artpolis Feminist Art Fund is supported by Kosovo Civil Society Foundation (KCSF) ‘EJA Kosovë’ program, co-financed by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Sweden and the Government of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
