“O Lord, O Lord, Lady of the House” in Tuz:…
November 27, 2024
12-13.11.2024
On November 12 and 13, 2024, the theater performance “Fefu and Her Friends” was successfully presented in Gjakova and Ferizaj, evoking emotion and reflection among the audiences in both cities.
Written by authors Julies Aaron and María Irene Fornés, this drama with a profound feminist approach was produced by Artpolis – Art and Community Center, directed by Arlinda Morina-Liki.
“Fefu and Her Friends” is more than a theatre artwork – it is a reflection of women’s lives, embracing commonalities while recognizing the differences that make them unique. Through this powerful narrative, the audience is introduced to the challenges and oppressions that women have faced across generations, as well as their bold strength and voices for change.
Shedding light on the darkness of patriarchy, “Fefu and Her Friends” invited us to reflect on the role of women and the power of their unity in confronting societal oppressions.
This presentation was supported by UNFPA Kosovo, “Hadi Shehu” Theater in Gjakova, and “Adriana” Theater in Ferizaj.
