Inspired by a real event, on Friday, 01.04.2022, the forum theater performance “I am asset” was presented in the Amphitheater of the Faculty of Arts.

The youngsters of the Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities from Fushë Kosova have bravely cracked down on racism, prejudices, stereotypes and social norms through the play “I am asset”.

A love story between a Roma girl and an Albanian boy reveals the patriarchal mentality and racism that is expressed in Kosovo society. For them, ethnic differences and barriers set by families and society are absurd, but they are convinced that together they can prove that love overcomes the barriers of ethnicity, race or religion.

After the performance, an active discussion took place with the audience, around 25 people, who had numerous questions and commented on the situations and differences we may have.

The actresses of the Artpolis Resident Artistic Troupe, Qendresa Kajtazi and Donikë Ahmeti, worked with these young people for two months.

In this performance played: Mimoza Baftia, Valmir Bajrami, Arife Avdullahi, Resul Krasniqi, Sejad Gashi, Ramize Shabani, Muhamet Osmani, Kimete Osmani, Mualik Rexhepi, Abdukadir Stolla, Ansar Mustafa.
