On January 25, 2025, Artpolis had the pleasure of hosting 25 students from the prestigious programs EMA (European Master’s in Human Rights and Democratisation from Venice) and VMAAHR (Vienna Master of Arts in Applied Human Rights from Austria) at its offices. The visit was organized to share the organization’s experience and commitment to art and feminist activism.

The Project Manager, Venera Ismaili, and the Project Coordinator, Berat Bajrami, provided a comprehensive overview of Artpolis’ mission, including its innovative approach to peacebuilding and social empowerment through art. They explained how the organization has successfully challenged gender stereotypes and prejudices, using theater, workshops, and other artistic projects as tools for social change and education.

During the meeting, the challenges faced by Artpolis throughout its journey were discussed, along with the organization’s methods of collaborating with both local and international communities. Particular attention was given to the role of art in addressing sensitive social issues and the organization of the FemArt Festival, a unique platform promoting equality and women’s rights through art and activism.

The students had the opportunity to exchange ideas and discuss how the arts can empower communities and promote social justice. This meeting served as a bridge between the younger generations and Artpolis’ experience, reinforcing the message that art remains a powerful tool for positive change and for building a more inclusive and peaceful society.
