Fjolla Ferati presents the work “Fempire”

January 18, 2022

The artist Fjolla Ferati presented her artistic work “Fempire” at the National Library of Kosovo on January 17, 2022. In this space “Fempire” will stay for two weeks.

Diversity occupies the main space in this art project, which has been worked with added attention. Women, as a very diverse category, have united in a single work to emphasize that despite the differences we may have among ourselves, we can unite in solidarity. Therefore, they are presented in a joint work.

In this work of art are presented five women who tell 5 different stories. Each testifies to how the past defines the present and paves the way for the future. Each woman presents a completely different story, but what they have in common is that each of them has faced challenges and make constant efforts to succeed, accepting first themselves and then the other as something beautiful. Self-love and acceptance of difference is essential for a full life.

The hope lies in the effort of each of us!

This initiative is supported by the Artpolis Feminist Art Fund, which is supported by Kosovar Civil Society Foundation (KCSF) program ‘EJA Kosovo’, co-financed by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Sweden, and Government of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
