On Thursday night, February 23, the soprano Urta Haziraj brought in front of the audience classical
music of different periods, starting from classicism, romanticism, and up to contemporary ones.
Her solo concert took place in the Saint Ndou church in Prishtina, and was attended by more than
150 people in the audience.
Through this concert, Urta has encouraged classical music in Kosovo to be followed even more, and
to have a wider reach. Urta performed together with the musicians Visar Kuçi, Milot Mehmeti, and Lirika Pula Kasapolli who brought different artworks of classical music, including “Der kleine Sandmann bin ich” by Engelbert Humperdinck, L’amerò, sarò constante” by Mozart or “I Feel Pretty” by Leonard Bernstein,
This concert was supported by the Feminist Art Fund of Artpolis, which is supported by the program
of the Kosovo Foundation for Civil Society (KCSF) ‘EJA Kosovo’, co-financed by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Sweden and the Government of the Great Duchy of
Luxembourg.
